ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Denver Broncos wide receiver and special teamer Matthew Willis is going on injured reserve after breaking a foot Sunday in a loss to the New York Jets.

Willis, a third-year pro out of UCLA, was injured in the first half. He had just one catch for 17 yards this season, against Indianapolis, but he was second in the NFL during the preseason with 263 yards receiving.

The Broncos need his roster spot to deal with a number of other injuries.

Coach Josh McDaniels didn’t have any updates on wide receiver Eddie Royal or defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson, both of whom left the game with an injured groin.
