BURIEN, Wash. (AP) — The driver of a wrong way car was killed in collisions on Highway 509 at Burien that injured five people in two other cars.
Washington State Patrol Troop Cliff Pratt told KOMO News the crew of an ambulance reported seeing a car stop and turn the wrong way late Tuesday night. The wrong-way car collided with two other cars, leaving five people injured, one critically.
Pratt says the driver of the wrong-way car climbed out of the wreckage and was trying to run away when he was hit by five other vehicles and killed. The trooper says the man’s body ended up under the ambulance that first reported his wrong turn.
