NEW YORK (AP) — Daveron rallied for a three-length victory over Gold d’Oro on Wednesday in the $70,000 Scoot Stakes for fillies and mares on the turf at Belmont Park.
A 5-year-old from Germany, Daveron improved to 4 for 12. Eddie Castro was aboard for trainer H. Graham Motion as Daveron ran the 114 miles in 2:05.04 over the course rated good.
Daveron paid $7.70, $4 and $3.90. Gold d’Oro returned $4.70 and $3.90. Becky’s Exchange paid $13.60 to show.
