Clark County will host an open house for residents to learn about development code changes under the county’s ongoing “Retooling Our Code” project. These proposed changes will include some recommendations from the Rural Lands Task Force.

The open house is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, in the sixth-floor hearing room at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.

Staff from the county’s planning department will be available to answer questions.

Specific topics include: grading permits, road modifications, legal lot determinations, no-parking zones, narrow-lot standards, rural centers, kennels, stables and the right to farm and log.

The Clark County Planning Commission will have a public hearing on the proposed changes Nov. 18.

Clark County commissioners are expected to consider making the code changes in January.
