PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb has been fined $5,000 for a horse-collar tackle in last Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, the NFL announced on Friday.

Kolb used the illegal maneuver, made famous by former Dallas safety Roy Williams, to bring down Falcons cornerback William Moore after an interception. The Eagles were flagged 15 yards. The Falcons eventually scored on the possession.

It is believed to be the first time a quarterback has been fined for the offense.

Kolb was making his second straight start in place of the injured Michael Vick and led the Eagles to their straight win, 31-17. He will start again Sunday, when the Eagles (4-2) visit the Tennessee Titans (4-2).

Originally the opening-day starter, Kolb suffered a concussion in the second quarter vs. Green Bay, and lost his job to Vick, who engineered consecutive wins over Detroit and Jacksonville.
