Local agencies and employers have joined forces to offer a Southwest Washington job fair for veterans on Thursday, Nov. 4. The event will be from 9 a.m. to noon at Gaiser Hall on the campus of Clark College, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way.

Regional employers with job openings planning to participate include Bonneville Power Administration, Boeing, Insitu, Clackamas County, Portland Police Bureau, Coca-Cola and Legacy Health System.

“We have worked hard to recruit employers who have job openings and are eager to fill them with veterans,” Pam Brokaw, executive director of Partners in Careers, said in a news release. “We encourage vets, both men and women, to come with résumés in hand and be prepared to be interviewed by potential employers.”

The job fair is sponsored by WorkSource Vancouver, Partners in Careers Veteran Women Program and Homeward Bound, Clark College and Washington National Guard J-9 Employment Transition Services.

Driving directions and parking maps are available at http://www.clark.edu/maps.

For more information or to register as a participating employer, call 360-696-8417 or go to http://www.go2worksource.com.
