EL PASO, Texas (AP) — Ryan Griffith threw two touchdown passes to Casey Robottom, the last with 5:30 to play, and Tulane defeated UTEP 34-24 Saturday night.

Orleans Darkwa ran for 114 yards and two touchdowns for the Green Wave (3-4, 1-2 Conference USA). Robottom had 151 yards receiving and his 43-yard touchdown gave Tulane a 31-24 lead. Phillip Davis intercepted Trevor Vittatoe’s pass on UTEP’s first play after the TD, leading to Cairo Santos’ clinching 20-yard field goal with just over 2 minutes to play.

Vittatoe’s touchdown pass to Kris Adams early in the fourth quarter had tied the game for the Miners (5-3, 2-3), who lost for the first time this season at home.

Griffith finished 19-of-34 for 201 yards and was intercepted once, and Albert Williams had 94 yards rushing for the Green Wave. Tulane had 461 yards of total offense while UTEP had 286.
