Murray State runs past Eastern Illinois 38-28

CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) — Mike Harris rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns and Casey Brockman threw for 318 yards and two scores as Murray State handed Eastern Illinois its 10th straight loss, 38-28 Saturday.

Harris rushed 21 times and scored on runs of 18, 68 and 2 yards. Brockman was 41 of 58 and connected with Rashad Daniels 12 times for 117 yards. Marcus Harris added 11 catches for 85 yards and a TD for the Racers (3-4, 2-2 Ohio Valley).

Jimmy Garoppolo threw for 356 and four TDs and Lorence Ricks had 114 receiving yards and two scores for the Panthers (0-8, 0-5).

The game was tied at 28 heading into the fourth quarter before Murray State pulled away with a field goal and a 5-yard TD pass from Brockman to Marcus Harris.
