ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills starting left tackle Demetrius Bell missed practice due to a knee injury, leaving his status uncertain for the winless team’s game at Kansas City on Sunday.

Coach Chan Gailey spoke only before practice Wednesday, and didn’t provide any details on Bell when discussing the team’s injured players. It’s unclear if Bell was hurt in a 37-34 overtime loss at Baltimore on Sunday, or whether it’s related to the right knee injury that ended the player’s season in December.

The Bills (0-6) are already without starting right tackle Cornell Green, who’s out indefinitely with a knee injury.

Starting free safety Jairus Byrd also missed practice due to a thigh injury. Gailey expressed hope that Byrd will practice Thursday.
