SEATTLE (AP) — A tire fire at a salvage yard south of Seattle is sending up plumes of thick black smoke.
Skyway Fire spokesman Dave Nelson says there are a number of residential buildings nearby and he advises anyone with respiratory issues to keep the windows closed. No injuries have been reported.
The fire was reported about 6 p.m. Wednesday. Fire crews from Skyway, Tukwila and Renton have responded.
