Appealing Afare wins at Hollywood Park

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Appealing Afare beat Vision in Gold by a half-length to win Wednesday’s $40,000 feature at the Oak Tree at Hollywood Park meet.

Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Appealing Afare ran six furlongs on the synthetic Cushion Track in 1:10.01 and paid $6.80 and $2.60. Bejarano rode two other winners on the card.

Vision in Gold returned $2.10 as the 3-5 favorite. Onenightin Beijing was third. There was no show wagering because of the five-horse field.

The victory was Appealing Afare’s second in six career starts. She has earnings of $63,840.
