Healthy Revis will help Jets secondary vs. Packers

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Darrelle Revis was out on the practice field, making the type of impressive plays the New York Jets have come to expect.

Defensive coordinator Mike Pettine says a few players excitedly said, “He’s back,” on Thursday while watching the star cornerback. Revis declared his bothersome left hamstring 100 percent healthy earlier in the week, and coach Rex Ryan says he has looked solid.

Good thing, too, since the Jets will play Aaron Rodgers and the pass-happy Green Bay Packers (4-3) on Sunday at New Meadowlands Stadium.

While Rodgers’ numbers haven’t been as impressive as his first two seasons, the Jets (5-1) are wary of his playmaking ability. Pettine says having Revis completely healthy will allow the defense to open things up.
