SEATTLE (AP) — A Seattle Fire Department spokeswoman says five pedestrians were struck late Thursday night by a pickup truck in the city’s Sodo neighborhood south of downtown.
Lt. Sue Stangl says one woman suffered “significant injuries.” The others, including three women and one man, were less seriously hurt. All have been taken to Harborview Medical Center.
The collision was reported shortly before 11 p.m. at the intersection of 1st Avenue South and South Massachusetts.
It was not immediately clear why the truck collided with the pedestrians.
