Partners involved in rehabilitating and extending the Portland International Airport north runway celebrated completion of their work Thursday.
Jerry Nutter, president of Vancouver-based Nutter Corporation, attended as representative of the lead contractor on the project. Extension of the north runway was needed to make room for larger aircraft when the longer south runway closes for rebuilding from April to October next year.
