The city of Camas is accepting applications for a library trustee position.
Applications are available at the Camas Public Library, Camas City Hall or online at http://www.ci.camas.wa.us/library. Submissions will be accepted until 5 p.m. Nov. 12. Applicants must be residents in Camas city limits.
The person appointed will fill the position for the remaining two years of the term, beginning in January. A committee will interview applicants, and Mayor Paul Dennis will appoint the new trustee in December.
A library trustee’s duties include advising the mayor and council on library issues, adopting library policy, helping to set the direction of library services and advocating for libraries and free access. Meetings are held monthly.
