SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle’s streetcar system is growing.
The Sound Transit board voted Thursday to spend $133 million for a 2.5-mile streetcar line through the First Hill neighborhood. The exact route from Pioneer Square and the location of a maintenance yard will be determined by the Seattle City Council.
The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reports officials are already considering extending the First Hill line to Capitol Hill and to the existing south Lake Union line.
