CLEVELAND (AP) — Point guard Mo Williams has been ruled out for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ game against the Sacramento Kings due to a groin injury.

Williams was sidelined for much of training camp and the exhibition season, and hasn’t appeared in a game this season. He also missed five days last week to attend his father-in-law’s funeral in Mississippi.

Williams is expected to return for Tuesday’s game against Atlanta.

Coach Byron Scott says Williams is ready to play but he wants to be cautious. He wants Williams to get another day of practice before he plays in a game.

Center Anderson Varejao started against the Kings on Saturday night after missing Friday night’s game in Toronto. Varejao’s father had heart surgery in Cleveland on Friday.
