SITKA, Alaska (AP) — A family owned tour company says it will offer weeklong cruises of southeast Alaska next year that start and end in Sitka.
A spokesman for Allen Marine Tours tells the Sitka Sentinel that the company will lease two former Cruise West vessels for the trips.
Seattle-based Cruise West announced in September that it was restructuring with new ownership and would suspended all new bookings.
Allen Marine Vice President Jamey Cagle says his company’s eight-day, seven-night cruises will circumnavigate Admiralty Island with stops in between will focus on culture, history, wildlife and the environment.
