DETROIT (AP) — Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and linebacker DeAndre Levy were back in the lineup for Detroit’s game against the Washington Redskins.

Stafford (shoulder) returned after being injured in the first game of the season. Levy returns from a groin injury.

Inactive for the Redskins was running back Clinton Portis, out with a groin injury.

With Lions backup quarterback Shaun Hill sidelined with a broken arm, Detroit was forced to name reserve wide receiver Derrick Williams as its third quarterback. Williams played some quarterback at Penn State, but has never taken an NFL snap.
