Notes
Brancaccio: Florida’s 13-1 record last year and its complete dismantling of then undefeated Cincinnati in the Sugar Bowl was a disappointing year, to be sure. But the Mighty Gators don’t rebuild, they reload. Look for them to win everything this year.
Danzer: Stanford at Oregon on Oct. 2 could be for conference title. Defending champion Ducks’ defense leads the way. OSU has tough early schedule, depth concerns, but will be a top-20 team at season’s end. UW is improved, but Huskies need to prove they can finish strong (in games and schedule). Cougs are getting better, though it might be hard to tell. Longhorns beat Crimson Tide in BCS rematch.
Jayne: There’s just no way Ohio State can beat Alabama for the national title. Impossible. Can’t happen. Pigs will fly before that occurs. — Ohio State fan using reverse psychology.
Martinez: Third time is the charm for the Beavers with Roses on the line.
Valencia: OSU goes to Rose Bowl this time, with victory in Civil War. Call me Positive Paul because I found two wins on WSU’s schedule! Huskies will find a way to win a couple close ones this year. Oh, and Texas? Ranked 5th in AP poll to start the season. Alabama was ranked 5th last year to start the season.
