Baseball-bat attack reportedly breaks arm

A teenaged boy was taken to a hospital Monday night with an apparent broken forearm after a reported assault with an aluminum baseball bat.
The assault occurred about 7:40 p.m. in Fruit Valley. A group of callers at West 31st Street and Fruit Valley Road reported that the assault was committed by a group of teens driving a red four-door sedan, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.
No further information was available at press time.
