$3.1 million grant for biofuel research at PNNL

RICHLAND, Wash. (AP) — The Energy Department is awarding up to $3.1 million to the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory at Richland for biofuel research.

Sen. Maria Cantwell’s office says the research aims to produce fuels from plants that can replace gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.
