EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Jordan Todman ran for 151 yards and three touchdowns as Connecticut bounced back from a season-opening loss at Michigan by blowing out Texas Southern 62-3 on Saturday.

Todman scored on two 1-yard runs and had 9-yard touchdown that helped UConn (1-1) to a 45-0 halftime lead over the Tigers (0-2), a Football Championship Subdivision team.

It was the seventh 100-yard game for Todman, a junior tailback who didn’t play after intermission. Backup Robby Frey ran for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

UConn scored the first five times it had the ball, and held the Tigers (0-2) to just a single first down in the first half.

Quarterback Zach Frazer, who also played just two quarters, completed 6 of 9 passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns.

Texas Southern’s only score came on a 37-yard fourth-quarter field goal from Robert Hersh that made it 55-3.
