CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — The Corvallis Fire Department will burn two makeshift dorm rooms at Oregon State University’s campus on Monday as part of their annual fire safety education program.

The Gazette-Times reports that the mock residency hall rooms will be set up on a trailer. One will have a sprinkler and the other will not.

The fire demonstrations is for members of the residential education staff with University Housing and Dining Services, which oversees the 3,900 students who live in campus housing at OSU.

OSU Housing and Dining Services manager Joseph Evans says the demonstration will show how fast a fire can spread.
