Vancouver Public Schools will host four superintendent’s patron tours this school year, the first on Oct. 15.

Guests may join Superintendent Steve Webb on a multischool tour to learn about new use of technology, language immersion programs, family-community resource centers, early learning programs and to discuss other innovations, reforms and future plans.

Each tour begins and ends at the Robert C. Bates Center for Educational Leadership, 2921 Falk Road.

Tours start at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 1 p.m. They include a luncheon prepared by students in the district’s award-winning culinary arts program.

Tour dates for the 2010-11 school year are: Oct. 15, Dec. 3, Feb. 11 and April 15.

All are welcome. To register, contact Sue Knable at 360-313-4720 or susan.knable@vansd.org.
