The La Grande Observer reports the 3rd Battalion, 116th Cavalry, a part of the 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat team, leaves Tuesday for two months of training at Camp Shelby, Miss., before deployment to Iraq.

A ceremony is scheduled to mark the departure, with Gov. Ted Kulongoski heading the list of speakers.
