Seton Hall athletic director Quinlan to resign

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. (AP) -- Seton Hall athletic director Joseph Quinlan Jr. has announced he'll resign next month.

Quinlan said Friday that he'll end his five-year tenure on Oct. 8 to pursue other opportunities.

Quinlan said in a statement he's proud of improving the school's athletic facilities and moving the men's basketball program to Newark's Prudential Center.

The school said deputy athletic director Duane Bailey and senior associate athletic director Ginger Fulton will oversee the department's day-to-day operations through the remainder of the academic year.
