Vancouver executive wins entrepreneurship award

PORTLAND — The Oregon Entrepreneurs Network has awarded Ken Hood, founder of Vancouver-based Clear Access, with a Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Award.

Hood was one of five Portland-area startup executives to receive an award, out of 16 finalists. Scott Keeney, chief executive officer of nLight Corp. in Vancouver, was also recognized as a finalist in the 17th annual awards ceremony, held Wednesday in Portland.

Clear Access, a telecommunications software company, won in the working capital category for companies in the early stages of launching a business with revenues of $1 million to $10 million.
