Jeremy Wolf introduced himself as a passing threat to the Hawks and the rest of the Greater St. Helens 2A League. The senior running back-turned-quarterback completed 3-of-6 passes for 129 yards and three touchdowns — one per completion.

The Monarchs racked up 349 yards rushing against Hockinson, but Wolf was responsible for only seven of them.

Dan Feeney (14 carries, 90 yards), Willie Fujioka (five carries, 49 yards, one touchdown) and Nikko Asbell (six carries, 106 yards and a touchdown) all had big performances for the Monarchs.

“They just wore our kids down,” Hockinson coach Rick Steele said. “We had them third-and-long multiple times, and they would pull out a play and get a first down.”

Steele said quarterback Jess Krahn played a good game. Krahn completed 8 of 15 passes for 119 yards and the game’s final touchdown.
