North Dakota beats Northwestern State 49-24

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Jake Landry threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns and North Dakota beat Northwestern State 49-24.

North Dakota (2-2) was trailing 10-7 until three Landry TDs gave the Fighting Sioux a 28-10 halftime lead over the Demons (1-3).

Landry connected with Greg Hardin for three of his TD passes, including a 76-yarder and a 52-yarder. Hardin finished with five catches for 177 yards.

Chris Anderson also caught a 71-yard Landry TD pass.

Josh Murray started the third rushing 74 yards for a TD, and added another touchdown on a 60-yard punt return in the fourth.

Jake Miller also rushed 1 yard to score for the Fighting Sioux.

Northwestern State’s Paul Harris threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns, including a 68-yard TD pass to T.C. Henry. Rumeall Morris also threw a 40-yard TD pass to Adrian Reese, and John Shaughnessy kicked a field goal.
