Smith inactive, Cox benched again for Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars are without safety Anthony Smith for a second consecutive game, putting second-year player Courntey Greene in the starting lineup against Philadelphia.

Smith (turf toe) is among Sunday’s inactives. The Jaguars also are keeping struggling cornerback Derek Cox on the bench. Cox is active, but David Jones is starting in his spot for the second straight game.

Linebacker Justin Durant (ankle), defensive tackle Landon Cohen (ankle) and returner Deji Karim (thumb) also are inactive for Jacksonville.

Cornerback Trevard Lindley, defensive end Antwan Barnes, defensive end Daniel Te’o-Nesheim, linebacker Keenan Clayton, offensive tackle Austin Howard, tight end Clay Harbor and linebacker Omar Gaither are inactive for the Eagles.
