TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama defensive end Marcell Dareus is nursing an ankle injury, but coach Nick Saban expects him back in practice by Wednesday.

The injury isn’t expected to keep him out of Saturday night’s game between the top-ranked Crimson Tide and No. 7 Florida.

Dareus hurt his left ankle in the second quarter against Arkansas but played in the second half. His ankle was taped during Monday’s practice and he was watching his fellow defensive linemen go through drills during the media viewing period.

Saban says Dareus will try to practice on Tuesday and be back “for sure” the following day.
