PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Washington State’s Murrow College of Communication wants to expand its reach with a new program inspired by teaching hospitals.
Associate Dean Marvin Marcelo said the program is intended to eventually transform into the Murrow News Service, which would produce multimedia stories pertaining to Idaho, Eastern Washington and Eastern Oregon for news media there.
Marcelo said the journalism field is becoming more competitive, and that editors look for professional training that the program will offer.
