2 men arrested for holding teen girl captive

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Police have arrested two men on suspicion they sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl and held her for three days in a Salem apartment.

The Statesman Journal says 32-year-old Eric John Howe and 23-year-old Jesse James Skinner were arrested Thursday by a Salem police SWAT team. Two other men were arrested at the same time for charges unrelated to the girl.

A probable-cause statement says Howe and Skinner met the girl at a transit center and they went to the apartment to watch a basketball game. The girl was threatened when she tried to leave, molested and prostituted out to four men.

The statement says a neighbor helped the girl. When the suspects approached him trying to prostitute the girl, the neighbor paid them but allowed her to leave.
