EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — The flu hit Snohomish County hard this season. Two people have died of swine flu, and health officer Dr. Gary Goldbaum says six county residents were in hospitals Monday with influenza. He told The Daily Herald that’s a high level of hospitalizations for the end of the flu season.

One of the twin Camano Island brothers hospitalized with swine flu last month, 31-year-old Michael Wolfe, died Saturday at an Everett hospital. His brother Steven was released from the hospital after treatment in the intensive care unit.

The other death earlier in March was 34-year-old Will Gardner of Stanwood.
