Share’s 10th annual Share-a-Bowl event will bring together local chefs and art to raise money for children’s anti-hunger programs.

The event is at 3:45 p.m. April 17 at Skyview High School, 1300 N.W. 139th St. The event features gourmet soups created by local chefs, plus artisan soup bowls as keepsakes for each guest.

Cost is $35 for adults, $15 for children 5 to 12 years old and free for kids younger than 5. A table of eight can be reserved for $280. Proceeds will benefit Share’s Children’s Hunger Initiative, including the backpack and summer lunch programs.

Attendees are asked to bring cans of food to enter the door-prize drawing. The prize is a spring flowers and gardening basket.

The evening’s program will also include the presentation of the 2011 Emily Marshall Volunteer of the Year Award. This year’s nominees are Joan Caley, Vicki Erickson, Carla Feltz, Susan O’Shea, David Slocum and Judy Enders.
