MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) — The mother of Miami Heat basketball star Lebron James was arrested and taken into custody by Miami Beach police.
Police spokeswoman Deborah Doty confirmed that Gloria James was arrested at the Fontainebleau Hotel early Thursday morning.
She would not say what led to the 4:47 a.m. arrest, or what charges Gloria James may face. Doty said police will issue a statement later Thursday.
Gloria James was arrested on DUI charges in 2006.
