CASABLANCA, Morocco (AP) — Pablo Andujar eased into the semifinals of the Grand Prix Hassan II with a 6-2, 6-2 win Friday over fellow Spaniard Pere Riba.

Andujar won 83 percent of the points on his first serve and broke his opponent five times to advance to his first semifinal on the ATP tour since losing in the final of the BCR Open Romania last September.

Andujar served out the match at love, clinching the victory with an ace on a second serve. He will play either top-seeded Albert Montanes of Spain or No. 7 Fabio Fognini of Italy.

Frenchman Gilles Simon plays Italian Potito Starace and Victor Hanescu takes on qualifier Andrey Kuznetsov in the other quarterfinals at the clay-court tournament.
