The Clark College baseball team earned a doubleheader split at Aberdeen on Thursday, winning the second game over Grays Harbor 10-4.
Clark dropped the first game 2-1.
Lee Sheller broke the second game open for Clark with a grand slam in the sixth inning.
The victory got off to a good start with a three-run first inning for the Penguins. Evan Pickett drove in one run with a double.
Grays Harbor tied the game in the second then Clark got the lead back in the fifth with one run.
Taylor Dunn earned the victory, striking out six in six innings.
Pete Breshears and Cory Niten each had two hits for Clark.
In the opener, Jake Dowers threw six solid innings but the Penguins couldn’t push across any more runs than the one they scored in the second inning.
Ethan Teel had two of Clark’s five hits.
The same two teams are scheduled to meet again for a doubleheader at 4 p.m. today at Propstra Stadium in Vancouver.
