CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK, Ore. (AP) — If Congress can’t reach a budget agreement and the federal government shuts down, Crater Lake National Park will close in Oregon.
Park spokeswoman Marsha McCabe said Friday that if the shutdown goes through at midnight, all visitor facilities and services will be closed, and scheduled events postponed.
She says anyone driving up to the park will not be allowed to enter.
McCabe says most park employees will be on furlough, without pay, except for a few essential staff such as law enforcement.
