MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Twins right-hander Kevin Slowey was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday with a strained throwing shoulder.
Slowey, who was moved from the rotation to the bullpen for the start of this season, felt some soreness in his right biceps while warming up for an appearance against the Yankees on Monday.
He had an MRI exam on Friday that showed some tendinitis in his arm, but the Twins don’t believe Slowey will be out long.
