Vancouver Volcanoes selected to host IBL playoffs, final

The season is about three weeks away, but the Vancouver Volcanoes are already talking championship.
The International Basketball League selected the Volcanoes to host the 2011 playoffs and championship game.
Clark College’s O’Connell Center will be the site for the playoffs on July 1-2 with the championship game on July 3.
“This is a huge compliment to the way our organization is run and the quality product that we put out for every game,” Volcanoes head coach Bryan Hunter said in a press release.
The Volcanoes seventh season opens on April 29 at Bellingham followed by the home opener at the O’Connell Center on April 30, also against Bellingham.
The Volcanoes were 16-7 last year and reached the IBL semifinals where they lost to eventual IBL champion Albany Legends.
