Dog owner wanted for animal control board

Clark County — Clark County residents who are dog owners and are interested in serving on the Animal Protection and Control Advisory Board are in luck: there’s an open position.

Applicants may not work for, own or operate an animal-related facility.

The 10-member advisory panel helps develop policy and ordinances. Members serve two-year terms and are appointed by the Clark County commissioners.

Applications must be received at the Animal Protection and Control office by 5 p.m. Friday, May 6.

Applications may be mailed to: Animal Protection and Control, P.O. Box 9810, Vancouver, WA 98666-9810, or dropped off on the third floor of the Clark County Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.

The advisory board meets quarterly. Meetings are 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month at Clark County Operations Center, 4700 N.E. 78th St.
