Saturday museum talk tackles bridge

The future of the Interstate 5 bridge crossing the Columbia River will be the topic of a panel discussion, 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Clark County Historical Museum, 1511 Main St., part of the museum’s Bridging the Gap exhibit.

Regular admission applies. The cost for adults is $4, seniors and students pay $3, children 6 to 18 pay $2 and children 5 and younger are admitted free.

Panelists are Jeff Hamm, executive director of C-Tran; Nancy Boyd, director of the Columbia River Crossing project; Robert Liberty, executive director of the University of Oregon’s Sustainable Cities Initiative; Vivek Shandas, an urban planner with Portland State University; Jorge Lizarraga, historical geographer with Washington State University Vancouver; and WSUV historian Steve Fountain.

Clark County Superior Court Judge Barbara Johnson will moderate the discussion.
