BEND, Ore. (AP) — A Bend doctor has been reprimanded and placed on suspension for a month after the Oregon Medical Board found he violated state law involving conduct, including his sexual relationship with a patient.

The Bulletin newspaper in Bend reports that Dr. David Redwine, who operates his own gynecology clinic, received the stipulated order from the board after he was also found to have improperly prescribed drugs to the patient and members of her family.

The order said Redwine also loaned the patient about $935,000 to invest in the real estate market.

In an e-mailed statement, Redwine said he cooperated fully with the investigation and will begin performing surgery again in May when his suspension is up.
