VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — A sex offender released from Utah custody after being deemed incompetent to stand trial has been added to a list of registered sex offenders in Clark County, Wash.

Lonnie Johnson was listed Wednesday as a Vancouver transient. He is required to register because he pleaded guilty to the rape of a 16-year-old girl in Washington in 2006.

The 38-year-old was released from the Utah State Hospital last week after doctors said they couldn’t restore his competency. The doctors added he was no danger to society. Johnson faces nearly two dozen counts of rape, sodomy and aggravated sexual assault in Utah for alleged inappropriate contacts with his stepdaughter and her cousin.

He registered Tuesday in Washington County, Ore., but his sister, Cindy Lorenz, said he just paid a brief visit and moved on. Lorenz contends the Utah allegations are false.
