Letter: Hand the culprits a bucket and a rag

It’s great that there are volunteers who go out and paint and clean up graffiti — private, county and city — as reported in the April 10 story, “A spring-cleaning party: Volunteers hit the street to scrub out graffiti.” But what would be wrong in having the kids who are caught doing graffiti getting involved in helping, with the assistance of parents? I think that would be a good message to all.
