PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Tidewater Holdings Inc. says it will close Sundial Marine Construction & Repair in Troutdale in early May.
Sundial has specialized in the repair and construction of ships and barges for the past 30 years.
Tyler Kopet, chief financial officer of Tidewater, told The Oregonian the closure was a difficult decision. But Kopet said it will help Vancouver, Wash.-based Tidewater focus on its core business of marine transportation and terminal operations.
Tidewater has owned Sundial for about 15 years.
