Letter: Letter offensive to conservative

David Starke’s April 17 letter, “Reject conservative agenda,” goes to illustrate the thinking of the far left “loon.” First off, what does he mean “mad Tea Party?” The Tea Party is far from mad. All they have done is make people wake up from the trance President Obama put them in 2007-08.

As far as quoting Jesus and all the nasty things the conservatives are doing to this county, it doesn’t seem right for Starke to throw so many rocks from inside his glass house. The Republicans have not attacked the teachers, police and firefighters, just the corrupt unions that support the Democratic party. As far as raising taxes on the elderly and the blind, has he read a recent newspaper or seen any TV news? What does he think Obama is going to do? Raise taxes.

And finally, I am a conservative. Please do not compare me with the Republicans. I would advise Starke to be careful who he calls un-American, anti-American or un-Christian. I am 80 years old and served 15 years in the Marine Corps. I do not take kindly to those remarks.
