MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Cleveland Indians right-hander Carlos Carrasco left his start against the Minnesota Twins on Sunday with tightness in his pitching elbow.
Carrasco gave up two runs on six hits with two walks and a strikeout in three innings. He needed 30 pitches to get through the first inning and gave up a two-run double to Justin Morneau in the third inning. He also stumbled off the mound in that inning, but remained in the game.
There was no immediate word on the severity of Carrasco’s injury.
Jeanmar Gomez relieved Carrasco to start the fourth inning.
